Olympian Adam Peaty was reportedly involved in a fight with a fellow team GB swimmer last week.
The gold medalist, 27, allegedly got into a brawl with Luke Greenbank, 25, after apparently slapping him on the bum and making a ‘cocky joke.’
It was said to be to do with fellow Olympian Anna Hopkin, 27, who is in a relationship with Greenbank.
The alleged tiff is said to have happened at the Team GB swimming training site in Loughborough last week.
It was originally reported that Peaty needed stitches from the fight, which allegedly broke out after he made the jibe at his teammate.
However, a source close to Peaty has since revealed to Metro.co.uk it was a ‘minor disagreement’ and was ‘immediately resolved,’
A source told The Sun: ‘It was absolute carnage. Peaty was being cocky and made a joke at Greenbank’s expense, before touching his backside. But his actions touched a real nerve for Greenbank and it got very heated.
‘Peaty was left with a bloody face and needing treatment,’ the insider said.
‘Those around them persuaded Peaty and Greenbank to shake hands and put the fight behind them.’
Peaty dating daughter of TV chef Gordon Ramsay, Holly Ramsay.
Peaty and 23-year-old Holly confirmed their romance in June after the swimmer split from girlfriend Eiri Munro – who he shares a young child with.
They were together for three years before their split, with Peaty’s brother citing the famous ‘Strictly curse’ as the reason.
Katya Jones was Peaty’s dancing partner on the glitzy ballroom show in 2021, and they famously shared an ‘almost kiss’ after a steamy tango dance.
Now, he and Holly seem smitten as they attended Silverstone F1 arm in arm, and often comment on each other’s posts affectionately.
