Celebrations launches tubs with only one flavour for Christmas – and it'll divide all chocolate fans | The Sun

CELEBRATIONS has relaunched tubs with just one flavour – and it's bound to divide chocolate fans.

The chocolatier has unveiled 350g Bounty-only boxes for the first time ever.

But there's just 300,000 tubs available and shoppers only have until December 13 to snap one up.

Foodies can grab a box at one of 304 Tesco stores or on the retailer's website for £6. Customers with a Clubcard will pay £4.50.

It's not clear which 304 stores the tubs are on sale at so it might be worth putting in a call to your local branch to see if they've got any.

Either way, the announcement will leave shoppers disunited.

Choccie fans were left divided after Celebrations removed the Bounty flavour from 2,000 tubs last year as part of a trial.

Some customers were left reeling at the decision while some were keen on banishing the flavour.

One person said: "Bounty removed from Celebrations? There'll be a mutiny over that!"

Another added: "Good morning to everyone except the person who decided to remove Bounty’s from a tub of Celebrations."

However, one person was keen on removing the flavour, saying: "Whoever decided to take Bounty’s out of Celebrations boxes is a genius, what a game changer.”

Meanwhile, another happy fan added: "A tub of Celebrations with no Bounty? Best news I’ve heard in a while."

Kerry Cavanaugh, from Mars Wrigley which makes Celebrations, said: "Last year, Bounty lovers made their voices heard and it’s time we gave something back.

"We hope the Bounty Centrepiece will help ease the pain we caused when we removed Bounty last year.

"We’re excited to see how these tubs are received…are you a Bounty lover, or a hater?!"

It comes after Celebrations shrunk the size of its sharing tub from 650g to 600g but for 50p more.

Mars Wrigley blamed rising costs for the decision to reduce the number of sweets in tubs and hike the price.

In other news, Quality Street has brought back a fan favourite flavour discontinued over 20 years ago.

Plus, the chocolatier has also axed a key service for Christmas with shoppers saying they feel "stitched up".
