Les Dennis has admitted there was once a funny moment over the age gap between him and wife Amanda Holden, with a plumber joking about her being a “kid”.
The Strictly star was married to Britain’s Got Talent beauty Amanda from 1995 to 2003 despite a 17-year age gap – Les was in his 40s when they tied the knot and Amanda in her 20s.
And a few years ago, Les revealed that the difference in their ages didn’t always go unnoticed.

Opening on Richard Herring's Leicester Square Theatre podcast, he quipped that he “should have known” after one incident when they were together.
He explained: “I remember one day in our house in Highgate and it was the Grand National day.
“And the plumber was there to fix the washing machine and Amanda came running in and said, ‘We need to put a bet on.’
“I went, ‘What?’”
Amanda told Les it was the Grand National and he suggested placing a £10 bet, handing over a note.
He continued: “And she went, ‘Oh we need to put more than that!’
“I went, ‘twenty?’
“And the plumber went, ‘Kids eh?’”
“Maybe I should have known then!” joked the TV star.
Les and Amanda were married in June 1995 but their romance hit the rocks five years later after Amanda’s affair with Neil Morrissey.
They got things back on track but called time on their romance for good late in 2002 and were divorced in 2003.
Amanda, 52, is now happily married to Chris Hughes and they share daughters Alexa, 17, and 11-year-old Hollie.
Les, who is now 69, tied the knot with Claire Nicholson a couple of years after splitting from Amanda, and they have a son and a daughter.
