Coronation Street fans are convinced the once-happy couple Nina Lucas (Mollie Gallagher) and Asha Alahan (Tanisha Gorey) will soon be torn apart by their differences.
Some small cracks were beginning to show in Wednesday’s episode of the ITV soap, and it seems the pair may decide to go their separate ways soon.
At one point, Asha realised Nina was being cool with her and eventually, Nina admitted she felt jealous over Asha’s new friend, Isla.
She confessed: “I’m jealous, but I don’t want to be,” to which Asha replied: “Of what?”
“Your friendship with Isla,” Nina answered.

“Seriously? Nina that’s mad,” Asha argued.
“I know, I know there’s nothing going on but it doesn’t mean I’ve not been checking your socials all day,” Nina admitted.
“Look, we are mates, she’s just helping me out that’s all,” Asha assured her.
“Doesn’t help that your mate’s gorgeous,” Nina complained.
When Asha told her not to be “silly,” there was some tension between the pair.

Later, a very drunk Nina returned home late to Asha, who didn’t seem as pleased to see her.
“Did you get my message?” Asha asked, to which Nina slurred: “Yeah sorry, I didn’t have time to listen.”
“We have got the house to ourselves,” Nina pointed out, kissing Asha.
Asha shoved her off and complained: “You stink of booze,” before asking why she had drunk so much.
She then declined Nina’s invite to join her upstairs, stating she was tired.
“All that work with Isla…” Nina said pointedly.

Fans were left concerned by the scenes, with many taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, to express their worries.
@CSRizzoli23 penned: “I really hope #corrie don’t split Asha and Nina up. I love them.”
@DavidBoink theorised: “Nina got her eyes for your brother Asha. At least Dev will be happy #Corrie.”
“#corrie this Nina Asha relationship breakdown is hard to watch,” @mitch_r23 shared.
@homebrew19721 asked: “Why do the writers want to split up Asha and Nina? #corrie.”
@runninoncaffine predicted: “Will Asha have an affair with this new friend? I hope not poor Nina #Corrie.”
@EnfieldGarry commented: “Nina might as well dump Asha. She’s always leaving her. #Corrie.”
