EastEnders star Max Bowden gushed over his co-star Bobby Brazier as he opened up about his Strictly Come Dancing stint.
The actor, 28, has played Ben Mitchell since 2019 after taking over the role from Harry Reid. Meanwhile Bobby, 20, made his debut as Freddie Slater in September 2022 and has since won a National Television Award for his portrayal of the teen.
Alongside EastEnders, the soap star is currently taking to the dancefloor every week with Dianne Buswell for the latest series of Strictly. Speaking exclusively to Daily Star at the Inside Soap Awards, Max threw his support behind his co-star as he declared he's "killing it".

"He's killing it. He's got to be my one to win, absolutely. I'm very proud of him, he's such a special boy," the actor gushed. "He's an amazing young man and he lights all of our lives up at EastEnders and I don't say that lightly.
"He is so special with an amazing soul and to see him go out and win every week is so precious." Jamie Borthwick, who has starred as Jay Brown since 2006, added: "He's just made for it, isn't he?"
Last week, bobby performed the Charleston to Do Your Thing by Basement Jaxx and was awarded 29 out of 40 from the judges. But away from the glitz of the ballroom, things have taken a much darker turn for Bobby's character Freddie after he attacked Theo Hawthorne (William Ellis), who attempted to rape Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner).
With the help of Eve Unwin (Heather Peace) the trio then came up with a plan to make it seem like Freddie’s attack was in self defence by planting a weapon on Theo’s body. Despite their efforts, Freddie was arrested for attempted murder but later released on bail during Thursday’s episode (October 5).
After returning home, Jean Slater (Gillian Wright) suggested he should go and spend time with his mum, Little Mo for a while. Although hesitant at first, Freddie agreed.

In emotional scenes, Freddie hugged his family and friends before jumping into a taxi to go see his mum. The actor confirmed he was leaving the soap in a recent interview.
Fortunately for fans, he is only briefly stepping back from the role in order to train for Strictly. Bobby, who is the eldest son of Jeff Brazier and the later Jade Goody, told Digital spy: "I’m taking a break.
"I've filmed it already, and no I’m not telling you about it. But I’ll be back.”
