GMB: King Charles to attend COP28
Good Morning Britain viewers blasted the programme on Thursday following its discussion on the climate crisis.
Hosts Kate Garraway and Ben Shephard dedicated much of the day’s coverage to the Cop28 conference, which King Charles is attending in Dubai.
However, fans were quick to point out that Richard Arnold, Andi Peters and Laura Tobin are all currently travelling for the programme.
Richard is in Australia to cover this year’s I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!, Andi has been travelling parts of Europe lately, including Stockholm on Thursday, to promote ITV’s competition and Laura broadcast the weather from Friezeland Christmas Tree Farm.
Richard Gaisford brought the latest from the climate crisis, explaining: “King Charles is known by so many around the world as a global leader on environmental issues.

“It’s going to be really interesting to have him come here as a guest of the Royal Family to give this opening speech and see how far he goes in front of 160 world leaders.
“He is flying in today, in effect on what is a private plane, we also have the Prime Minister and foreign secretary doing the same.”
As some pointed out the use of separate private planes goes against the advice of climate experts, fans also fumed over Good Morning Britain stars travelling the globe.
Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, @BarebackFrank penned: “Andy today in Stockholm did he take a ferry? #GMB browbeat the nation with the Climate Crisis narrative but in reality say… Foxtrot Oscar when it concerns themselves.”

@FlopsyPickle added: I’m sorry but this show can’t keep saying ‘but we have Laura so we care about climate change’ but then send her travelling & Andy Peters flying around the world #gmb #GoodMorningBritain,” along with a GIF stating: ‘The hypocrisy is stunning.'” (sic)
“The hypocrisy Andi is in Copenhagen for a silly competition. Mins ago Susannna had her indignant face on about climate change,” Andi000211 added.
@JohnDoe29248490 wrote: “So Laura is out and about, focusing on cutting down your own Christmas tree! And yet she is being quoted as a climate activist? What for? Unnecessary travelling, cutting down perfectly good tree? This is absolutely ridiculous!”
Responding, @Rise_and_grind7 commented: “It is hypocritical but they have no control over where Andi goes in the world.”
