Home and Away star Emily Symons made an emotional revelation about the soap more than three decades after her first appearance.
The actress, 54, joined the cast as Marilyn Chambers back in 1989 and has played the role on and off ever since.
It was the perfect job for the soap star, given that her mother revealed she declared her ambition to act at just four years old.

Emily's first stint as Marilyn lasted for three years before she headed to the UK to travel in 1992, but it wasn't long before she returned to Summer Bay.
“I was in my 20s, so I was travelling through Europe, skiing, doing all the things that young people should be doing,” she explained to 7News.
"And then I came back and lived in Perth for a little while, then Home and Away asked me to come back.
“Both times I’ve left the show it’s been to go off and do some mad adventure, and then they ask me to come back, which is lovely.
“I’ve been very lucky.”
Emily's first love was musical theatre and she revealed she "drags" her son Henry to every performance that she can.
The former Emmerdale star gave birth to Henry at the age of 46 following a series of unsuccessful IVF cycles.
Opening up about her struggle to have a baby, Emily told TV Week: "I very much thought it couldn’t happen and I was too old I thought I had tried every avenue that was available to us.
“My advice is to not give up if you’re feeling a bit overwhelmed by the whole process."
Five months after Henry was born, Emily returned to the Bay and slipped straight back into Marilyn's shoes.
Getting emotional about the iconic role she has portrayed for 34 years, Emily said: "After my first stint as Marilyn I came back and played her from 1995 to 1999, and then I came back in 2009, so it has been a lot of my life.
“This job has been incredibly kind to me and this character has been a blessing in my life".
The blonde beauty added: "I’m very proud to be a member of the Home and Away family."
