Between Kody, Robyn, and the three abovementioned ex-wives, they are parents to 18 total children.
How did the Sister Wives meet Kody Brown?
Meri was the first to marry Kody; they met when she was 19 years old and he was 21.
The former couple met through the Mormon church and were introduced to each other by Meri's sister.
"I was a little taken with Kody right off the bat," Meri recalled in her book Becoming Sister Wives.
"He was definitely cute and had a great attitude. He was talkative and engaged me in conversation, and made me feel comfortable around him."
In the same book, Kody remembered: "Meri was so cute and sweet that when I met her, I had a hard time suppressing my hopelessly romantic nature.
"She had a remarkable purity about her. I had a sneaking suspicion that we were soulmates."
Kody and Meri tied the knot on April 21, 1990.
On January 17, 1993, Janelle and Kody spiritually wedded after she was introduced to him by Meri.
At that point, Janelle and Meri were friends for a number of years.
On March 25, 1994, Kody and his third wife Christine held their spiritual nuptials.
Similar to Janelle, Christine was friends with Meri for years when she decided to join their relationship.
On December 11, 2014, Kody legally divorced Meri so he could marry Robyn.
Kody and Meri first encountered Robyn at a mutual friend's house; Robyn is the cousin of the friend.
They were spiritually married on May 22, 2010, but legally walked down the aisle four years later.
