ITV Emmerdales Dawn Taylor scared Billys returning to prison after incident

Emmerdale: Dawn tells Gabby she wants ‘nothing’ to do with her

Dawn Taylor (played by Olivia Bromley) is concerned her spouse Billy Fletcher (Jay Kontzle) will go back to prison in upcoming Emmerdale scenes.

Speaking to Express.co.uk and other media about the upcoming Christmas storylines for the soap, Olivia explained Billy was part of a group assault on a former drug dealer and ended up behind bars.

Dawn and Billy are expecting their first biological child together and she’s concerned something will go wrong in the wake of Billy and Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller) having a physical fight in recent weeks.

Olivia shared: “We’re seeing This family unit and again, that’s not something you see so much because there is always like a tragedy which comes in. So at the moment, everything is great.”

Dawn, a former drug addict, has stayed away from medication during her pregnancy and is determined to have a natural birth in fear of relapsing.

Voicing Dawn’s apprehension about the future, Olivia said: “So Billy’s past has been in jail… That’s her going from zero to a hundred. But as soon as he gets into a fight, she’s like, ‘Right, well that’s that, you’re going to go back to jail.'”

Olivia revealed Dawn, whose had a tough life of prostitution, addiction and heartbreak, “is always scared” any violence linked to her will make social services take her children away.

“That’s a really interesting psychological way to play a character because I guess there’s always drama in jeopardy,” Olivia added.

“But Dawn is always just trying to cling on to what she has. And when Billy gets into these fights and stuff, I think just the main worry is that there’s been so many times where the police could have got involved or he really could get back in trouble.

“She just doesn’t want to lose him, but I don’t think she has any worries about how he’ll be as a dad because I think she just knows that he’s such a fab dad to Lucas and Clemmie.”

The Emmerdale couple share Lucas Taylor (Dexter Ansell) and Clemmie Reed (Mabel Addison).

Dawn and Billy tied the knot last year in the village following a whirlwind romance after he ended things with serial killer Meena Jutla (Paige Sandhu).

The murderess became obsessed with Billy and clearly hated, as well as envied, Dawn.

While there have been challenges in their relationship, the couple appear as though they have a bright future ahead and Dawn’s set to go into labour imminently.

Emmerdale airs on weeknights at 7.30pm on ITV and ITVX.
