Good Morning Britain’s Kate Garraway is reportedly in the running the join This Morning as sources claim ITV show is holding “auditions” for new hosts.

It is thought current host Josie Gibson, who has been filling in since Holly Willoughby quit the show earlier this month, could be gearing up to take part in this year’s I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!, and that ITV bosses are using the opportunity to “test the chemistry” of other presenters.

According the the Daily Mail, an insider stated: “There will be a mix of different hosts over the coming weeks as bosses screen test various contenders, some who will have been on the show before and some won’t.

“There is a great existing pool of presenters both male and female who have featured before but bosses will also be looking outside of the show to try potential new faces out.

“It’s an obvious way to test chemistry, likeability, and the sheer skill of presenters to see if they can make hosting a live two-and-a-half-hour show look easy.”

“To everyone who has ever worked on the show over the years, thank you so so much.

“This is such a difficult goodbye, you are incredible and I forever will be proud of what we’ve done together. Thank you to everyone at ITV for being supportive.”

She continued: “To every guest who has sat on our sofa, thank you. Most of all, thank you to the wonderful viewers. You’ve been so loyal, so supportive and the very best company every day.”
