MAFS UK expert Charlene shocked by ‘sexiest dinner parties yet’ as ‘shy’ contestants do ‘never-seen-before’ things | The Sun

MAFS UK expert Charlene Douglas says she’s been left shocked by the dinner parties on this series, coining them some of the “sexiest yet.”

Charlene is the show’s resident sex therapist and she said that it was actually the “shy” contestants on the show who ended up surprising her the most – including doing “never-seen-before” things at dinner parties.

She said: “When it came to chatting about sex, this is where the surprises came. There were couples who come across as really shy and don’t want to talk about things, and then things happen that left me surprised.

“And on that, I’d say I would particularly look out for things happening at the dinner parties.

“Things happen at them that have never happened before in the history of Mafs. Especially not in the UK version.

“I’d say keep an eye out for the dinner parties. There are lots of sexy, saucy moments this series that even surprised me.”

Charlene said they have been talking about topics never spoken about before with the cast too.

She works with the couples as they navigate their relationships and get to know their partners on a more intimate level.

She added: “I’ve been explaining terms to them all too, and we’ve been covering things like how to use different sex toys.”

Known for being an experienced sex and relationship therapist, Charlene previously appeared as a Sex Therapist on E4's The Sex Clinic.

While she was studying, Charlene developed a passion for teaching young people and in 2010 she began teaching sexual health to students.

She spoke about how this year’s couples move at different paces too, adding: “When you first meet someone it’s often the case that someone might want some more intimacy than the other or be further ahead.

“The other person might not be as keen yet until they really get to know you. I think we saw this with Ella and Nathaniel.

“Nathaniel was waiting for mental stimulation and an emotional connection and Ella liked the physical connection.”

Married At First Sight UK airs a new episode Monday to Thursday on E4 at 9pm.
