TENSIONS run high in the cobbles next week as Peter Barlow lashes out against a teenager.
Mason Radcliffe pushes the Coronation Street legend over the edge with a harsh comment and it all gets out of control.
Peter Barlow, played by Chris Gascoyne, has been on edge since he mowed Stephen Reid down with his car, despite the police clearing him.
The long-standing Corrie resident has been struggling with his alcohol addiction and his marriage with Carla Connor (portrayed by Alison King) is seemingly headed down the drain.
But while the adults of Weatherfield deal with their issues, Mason Radcliffe (Luca Toolan) is giving the youngsters a hard time as part of a gruelling bullying storyline.
Next week on ITV, however, the troublesome lad gets too big for his boots as he tests Peter's patience.

Coming up, Mason insists Dylan Wilson (Liam McCheyne) bunks off school with him.
When they spot Simon Barlow (Alex Bain) loading the gear from the pallet into his father Peter's car, Mason orders Dylan to steal the box of vape pens.
Later on, Simon tells Peter that the vapes have been nicked, sending him into a fury.
Having ascertained that the thief is a friend of Dylan’s, Peter thunders on the door of No.11.

Mason goads Peter, suggesting maybe he’ll run them over in his car, a direct reference at Stephen Reid's traumatic death.
Peter's anger gets the best of him and he breaks down the door before making a grab for Dylan.

Peter won't just be lashing out against the teens as he's also due to take his anger out on Carla.
When Sean Tully (Antony Cotton) lets slip that Carla’s had to bung he and Beth Tinker (Lisa George) extra cash to entice them back to work, Peter lambasts Carla for failing to share her work troubles with him or ever caring what he thinks.

As mentioned above, the couple have been having issues in their relationship as Carla jetted off to Spain to save the Underworld factory while Peter faced the police for his involvement in Stephen's death.
Left alone in his time of need, Peter turned to his ex-fiancée Toyah Battersby and Carla eventually came back to a frosty welcome.
Peter star Chris Gascoyne is due to leave the cobbles after more than two decades and viewers of the Manchester-based drama have wondered if he could do so after his marriage falls apart.
