Ryan mortified in Corrie as his porn streaming is exposed to his loved ones

Ryan Connor (Ryan Prescott) soon finds himself the talk of Coronation Street in upcoming episodes when his online activities are humiliatingly exposed.

Ryan turned to posting online fitness videos in the wake of the acid attack that left him scarred. At first these just covered his bodybuilding as he worked to increase his fitness, but it wasn’t long before he was signing up to O-Vidz, a subscription website from which he’s been sharing more intimate pictures to subscribers.

With one subscriber offering him £500 for a live video, after some thought Ryan decided to go ahead. And, having walked out of his new job at the factory, he had to keep going to keep the money coming in.

So far the only person who knows about this is Daisy (Charlotte Jordan), who asked Ryan what he was up to.

This is all set to change soon, though, when he receives a message just after he’s done another livestream. The subscriber tells him that his filter dropped out and revealed him to be the person who’s been in the newspapers after suffering the acid attack.

Ryan tries to deny it’s him, but then a reporter from the Weatherfield Gazette approaches him and says she’s seen some screen grabs from his porn videos. Because he’s the victim of the acid attack, it’s a newsworthy story and the reporter wants to interview him.

He’s horrified, but with or without his cooperation the story still makes it to the pages of the Gazette and Izzy (Cherylee Houston) picks up a copy and shows it to Glenda (Jodie Prenger) and Sean (Antony Cotton). Even worse for Ryan, Carla (Alison King), Daisy and Daniel (Rob Mallard) also see the pictures and when he returns from the loo he’s deeply uncomfortable to realise everyone is talking about him.

It’s a horribly awkward situation, and it’s not the only secret Ryan has been keeping as he’s also battling a steroid addiction.

Will his shock exposure in the Weatherfield Gazette make him reach out for help? Or will it drive more of a wedge between him and his loved ones and further increase the isolation he feels?
