HEARTBROKEN fans have flooded Smash Mouth singer Steve Harwell's final post with condolences after his death on Sunday.
Harwell died at his home in Boise, Idaho, from liver failure. He was only 56.
His death came two years after he had retired from playing with the band.
He received hospice care before his band manager confirmed his death.
Fans took to social media to thank him for his career as hit singles like All Star continue to influence pop culture.
In his now-heartbreaking final post, Harwell revealed on X, formerly known as Twitter, that the band was still enjoying millions of streams on Spotify.
In the comments underneath the post, fans are sharing memories as they revisit the discography of the '90s California rock band.
"I wish you well mate. You were the ultimate All Star," one fan said.
Others thanked him for the joy that his music brought and said they felt like they lost a friend.
"Much love to you. You were a big part of my childhood," someone else wrote.

"Thank you for everything, Steve. Your songs brightened up my darkest days," another heartbroken fan said.
Harwell died peacefully surrounded by family and friends, the band's manager Robert Hayes told Rolling Stone.
"Steve's legacy will live on through the music," Hayes said.
With Harwell at center stage, Smash Mouth sold over 10million albums worldwide and topped the charts with two #1 hit singles.
They were featured in multiple television shows and films, including an iconic spot in Shrek which introduced a younger audience to the band.
"Steve's iconic voice is one of the most recognizable voices from his generation," Smash Mouth's manager said.
"He loved the fans and loved to perform. Steve Harwell was a true American Original."
Harwell's death comes just years after he appeared to be disorientated during a live gig in Syracuse, New York, in 2021.
The singer said he was retiring following the moment.
Ongoing health issues influenced his decision to retire as he suffered from cardiomyopathy and Wernicke encephalopathy which can affect motor functions.
In 2021, he paid tribute to his bandmates, saying: "Ever since I was a kid, I dreamed of being a Rockstar performing in front of sold-out arenas and have been so fortunate to live out that dream.
