STRICTLY Come Dancing pro Giovanni Pernice has been left devastated after his celebrity partner quit the show, a source has claimed.
The pro dancer, 33, who has been forced to cut his time on this season short is now said to be worried about his future on the show.
A source told New: "Giovanni Pernice is sympathetic, but struggling to face the realisation that his time in the competition is over at a crucial stage in his career.
“Giovanni is really competitive and dancing is his life. This could be his last ever Strictly. He’s been thinking about the future as he gets older so, if that’s the case, it’s a shame it’s ended this way."
Taking to Instagram, Giovanni captioned a photo of Amanda and himself: "I am so sad we can’t continue but I am proud of what we achieved and I am sending you so much love."
Last week, dance partner, Amanda Abbington, posted a lengthy statement online after news of her exit broke.

The 49 year old told her fans: “It is with deepest regret that I had to leave Strictly. I did not come to this decision easily or lightly but for personal reasons I am unable to continue."
Giovanni was reportedly furious over Amanda's abrupt departure after she ignored his messages and "barely spoke to him" before her exit.
The Daily Star claims that the Strictly dancer received the shock news from a producer only hours before the official announcement was made last week.
An insider told the paper: “Amanda didn’t tell Giovanni she had decided to quit the show. The first he heard was a call from a producer.

“This has really annoyed him. He’s barely heard from her for 10 days. She hasn’t been replying to messages or telling him what’s happening.
Fans recently spotted Giovanni looking "sad" after he appeared in the background on Strictly.
One fan tweeted: “Poor Giovanni looked completely lost and sad tonight.”
A second fan added: “Poor #Giovanni he looks devastated.”
