Strictly Layton Williams exit from BBC show exposed after rule break

Strictly Come Dancing star Layton Williams’ exit has been ‘worked out’ by an expert – and it’s not looking good.

The West End star, 29, is one of many stars strutting their stuff on this year’s series. And it’s fair to say Layton and partner Nikita Kuzmin have been setting the dance floor on fire week after week.

So much so, that they have bagged a spot in Saturday’s semi-final (December 9). Layton will be going up against the likes of Bobby Brazier and Ellie Leach to secure a place in the epic final.

And despite being a fan-favourite to take home the iconic Glitterball trophy, it seems Layton won’t make it all the way. According to a body language expert, they reckon Layton sadly won’t be taking home the iconic Glitterball trophy.

Speaking exclusively to Darren Stanton, on behalf of Betfair Casino, the expert told Daily Star that his lack of connection with Nikita might be down to him missing out on the trophy. Darren also revealed the celeb he thinks will win the show.

"Layton is more likely to leave sooner than Ellie as his connection with Nikita isn't as in-depth as Ellie and Vito's,” Darren said. He added: “Although they display reciprocal liking and have strong eye contact with each other, Ellie and Vito have a stronger rapport that keeps on developing.”

Darren then pointed out Layton and Nikita “have highs and lows.” Whereas Ellie and Vito “have consistently been strongly connected with one another.”

He explained: “Ellie has listened to advice every week and improved on her abilities every single time. She's displayed steady and consistent progress as a dancer, while Layton has been more sporadic and unpredictable.”

Throughout the show, Darren said Layton’s journey has “been very up and down.” The expert also noted how he “can let his emotions spill out quite easily and it has affected him in some cases.”

And according to Darren, “consistency is the key, and Ellie has been exactly that.” He added: “She's managed to control and contain it as well as keep her calm by focusing on doing her best."

It comes after Shirley Ballas claimed Layton Williams "didn't follow the rules" during the dance-off back in November. Layton found himself in the bottom two for the first time opposite Angela Scanlon. Craig Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse and Anton Du Beke all chose to save Layton, meaning Angela was sent packing.

Despite not casting her vote, Shirley revealed she would have saved the Irish TV presenter over Layton and partner Nikita. She was asked about the dance-off by presenters Richard Madeley and Susanna Reid during an episode of GMB.

Explaining the reason behind her decision, the professional dancer said: "I felt that Angela stuck to the rules. The rules were it was a Cha-cha-cha and that's what she did exquisitely well."

But she claimed that Layton, who she described as a "marvellous dancer", didn't hit the rules with his American Smooth. “I'm very much a rule follower," the Strictly judge declared.
