Daniel Radcliffe surprised quite a few of his fans by stripping down to his underwear and showing off a ripped physique.
The Harry Potter star, 34, left Emma Watson and Rupert Grint as Hermione and Ron a world away as he appeared in just a pair of white briefs during the season four finale of his TBS show in America, Miracle Workers.
Continuing in his well-earned reputation for taking unexpected parts and committing all the way, the actor was seen screaming and sticking his tongue out as he fought off robot fighters in the scene.
He also wore a pair of fingerless leather gloves, probably quite sensibly in this instance, to protect his hands during all the robot ripping apart, as well as a worn pair of leather boots.
New dad Daniel, who welcomed a baby boy with long-term partner Erin Darke, 38, in April has enjoyed a varied career post-Potter, appearing in projects like Swiss Army Man (as a reanimated corpse, naturally), Weird: The Al Jankovic Story and adventure flick The Lost City alongside Sandra Bullock.
For Miracle Workers, he has appeared in all four seasons so far since 2019, playing different characters in the anthology series each time around.
In the most recent season he was road warrior Sid, who lives in a post-nuclear apocalyptic world, but he has also appeared as a reverend called Ezekiel Brown on the Oregon Trail, Prince Chauncley the Pretty Cool in the dark ages-set second season and an angel named Craig Bog for his first role with the show.
He features in the ensemble cast with the likes of Steve Buscemi, Geraldine Viswanathan, Jon Bass, Karan Soni and Lolly Adefope.
Actor Daniel is no stranger to shedding his clothes either after disrobing alongside Jungle co-stars Alex Russell and Joel Jackson in 2017, as well as appearing naked on stage in Equus back in 2007.
His most recent appearance has also seen impressed fans clamouring for him to be cast in one specific part too, once the original star hangs up his claws.
‘This is the final drop right. Anyone who tells me Daniel Radcliffe isn’t playing Wolverine in the MCU, better have a convincing reason,’ announced one fan after watching the Miracle Workers season four finale.
‘After seeing Daniel Radcliffe go feral and hump a robot’s corpse in Miracle Workers, he is the only logical choice for an MCU Wolverine,’ added another.
‘Daniel Radcliffe should definitely get a screen test for Wolverine. I really believe he could do it and give an AMAZING performance that would thrill and satisfy comic fans, new and old(er),’ echoed someone else.
Hugh Jackman, 54, first found fame as Logan/Wolverine in 2000’s X-Men, going on to play the part multiple times.
He already retired from the role after the rather, um, definitive ending to 2017’s Logan.
However, he has been tempted back to reprise it one more time in pal Ryan Reynolds’ upcoming Deadpool 3.
After that, the stage could indeed be wide open for a new actor to pick up the reins.
