Oris Reveals Updated Divers Sixty-Five Chronograph

Swiss watchmaker Oris has introduced a new example of its popular retro diver’s watch, the Divers Sixty-Five Chronograph. The updated version features a smaller 40mm case and a sleek monochromatic dial design — available with the option of either a black deer leather strap or a stainless steel bracelet.

Inspired by its first diver’s watch from 1965, a time when recreational diving was becoming increasingly fashionable, the design includes sweeping lugs, a muscular uni-directional rotating bezel and distinctive vintage chronograph pushers. Inside, the watch is powered by an automatic mechanical movement, the Oris 771, which boasts a 48-hour power reserve.

The black curved dial features applied indices treated with Super-LumiNova for visibility in low light. Other technical specifications include a domed sapphire glass with antireflective coating inside, a screwed stainless steel case back, as well as a stainless steel screw-in security crown and pushers.

The Divers Sixty-Five Chronograph is available today, September 19, via the watchmaker’s official site and select retailers. Pricing is set at $4,400 USD for the metal bracelet and $4,200 USD for its leather counterpart.
