The mother of twins said the eating formula will help you get back ‘on track’ after Thanksgiving and have you seeing results by the New YearĀ

Kasis shared that she lost 15 pounds in two months by eating 90 grams of protein, 30 grams of fiber, and 50 grams of healthy fats per day

90-30-50 METHODĀ

DietitianĀ Courtney Kassis has a basic formula for eating that consists of the following each day:Ā

  • 90 grams of protein or moreĀ
  • 30 grams of fiber
  • 50 grams of healthy fatsĀ

Kassis has credited the basic formula with helping her loseĀ a total of 18 pounds and drop two percent of body fat, which is why she uses it with her clients.Ā

She went fromĀ 128 pounds to 110 pounds and has maintained her weight loss for a year by tracking her intake of protein, fiber, and fats instead of calories.Ā

The dietitian has also claimed that her 90-30-50 method helpedĀ put herĀ Hashimoto’s disease ā€” an autoimmune disorder that can cause an underactive thyroid ā€” in remission.Ā

Kassis promised that if you started following the program this week, you would see results by Christmas.Ā Ā

In another video, she shared how she was studying to become a dietitian and teach people how to lose weight while struggling to do that very thing herself.Ā

‘I was following the whole “eat less, move more approach,”‘ she recalled. ‘[I was] eating around 1,200 calories a day and working out for hours, but was really unsuccessful and truly feeling defeated.’Ā Ā

It wasn’t until she startedĀ prioritizingĀ nutrition over calories that she saw results.Ā

‘The way protein changed the game for me is so crazy,’ she said. ‘Ninety grams of protein is the minimum amount needed for muscle growth and maintenance.’Ā

The expert went from 128 pounds to 110 pounds and has maintained her weight loss for a year. She recalled how she struggled to lose weight when she was only eating 1,200 calories per day

‘Today I’m eating way more than I was, and I’m never feeling hungry or restricted,’ she said. ‘The best part is I’m feeling like myself again’

Kassis noted that protein also increases metabolism, promotes fullness, reduces cravings, and improves energy, among other things.Ā

‘Without protein, our metabolism slows down, our blood sugar drops, which leads to cravings,’ she explained. ‘We’re always tired. Hormones are imbalanced. It increases our risk of developing chronic disease.’

Kassis remembered how she used to only have about 30 grams of protein the entire day when she was restricting calories.Ā

‘No wonder I was tired, hungry, and sluggish all day,’ she said.Ā

Now she makes sure to get 90 grams of protein at a minimum per day by eating lean meats, protein shakes, Greek yogurt, and cottage cheese.Ā

‘Today I’m eating way more than I was, and I’m never feeling hungry or restricted,’ she said. ‘The best part is I’m feeling like myself again.’
