TOWIE hunk James Lock has revealed just how gruelling his stint on The Challenge UK was as he opened up about his gruelling injuries.
Earlier this year, the TV personality, 36, signed up to the horrific reality TV show which pushes contestants to their limits both physically and mentally. He showed off his incredible strength and determination alongside Curtis and AJ Pritchard, Love Island bombshell’s Kaz Crossley and Kaz Kamwi.
With Mark Wright fronting the new show, the five-part series follows 14 celebs taking part in a ser of nerve-wracking challenges as pairs. The nail-biting show sees each contestant going from strength to strength, but it’s fair to say the reality star had a particularly tough time.

Most recently, the budding actor showed his support to his former co-star Davide Sanclimenti when he attended his pal’s event. The Italian stallion recently became the new brand champion for the protein powder company, which he celebrated at a launch party in the heart of London on Thursday (October 26).
Now, in an exclusive interview with Daily Star, the budding actor has opened up about what it was like to compete on the show. He told us: “I fractured both my eyes really bad, but I had a few injuries – it's a very intense show so there were a few things.
“I hurt my back in one challenge, in another challenge we had to do a zip line and I burned through the gloves and cut up the inside of my hands, so I had to go to hospital for that. There were so many things, everyone got hurt.
“Some of the girls were popping their [breast] implants, the whole lot. No one was safe,” he added. But the contestants weren’t just put to the test physically, as he revealed how they had to endure a number of mentally difficult trials as a team.
Lockie explained: “I’ve done a few good food-based stuff that I've done on The Challenge. We had to do an eating challenge and one of the challenges was to eat pigs brains but I did it straight away – they actually thought I'd cheated.”
The star went on to reveal how he managed to endure the disgusting trials so easily with his secret “trick”. He explained: “I'd done it that quickly that they thought I'd cheated. The trick was not to breathe it in, so you don’t smell it. I just swallowed it, that was my trick.
“Honestly, I didn’t smell it, I just pinched my nose and threw it back in shots and that was it.”
