Whitney and Zack get major news from social worker ahead of her EastEnders exit | The Sun

KEEN to have the family life they dream of, Whitney Dean and Zack Hudson are trying to prove they can be fit foster parents.

The EastEnders couple get huge news from a social worker but will it be in their favour?

Whitney (portrayed by Shona McGarty) and her partner Zack (James Farrar) were devastated when they had to terminate a pregnancy earlier this year as their baby was diagnosed with Edwards' syndrome.

The market trader was less than eager to get started on trying for a baby again while Zack was excited at the thought of building a family with her.

After a lot of thought, both decided to go through the fostering route and have kickstarted the process together.

But in doing so, Whitney has to go through a difficult series of questions as she recalls her younger years.

Coming up next week on BBC One, Whitney and Zack sit down with social worker Jan for their fostering assessment.

During the appointment, Whitney has to go over difficult aspects of her past, including Tony King's abuse.

Whitney worries that what happened to her might impact her chances of fostering.

Regular viewers of the London-based program will remember that Whitney was sexually abused by her adoptive mother Bianca Jackson's husband Tony.

The paedophile was exposed on her sixteenth birthday as Bianca called the police and made Whitney realise their inappropriate relationship was far from the love story she had been groomed to believe.

Tony committed suicide in his prison cell, after leaving Whitney a final note.

In 2019, Whitney then faced Tony's secret son Leo King, with whom she embarked on a relationship.

However, Leo then revealed his true motives as he was hellbent on revenge over his father's death.

Leo tried to murder Whitney but she stabbed him in self-defence.

Next week, following their meeting with the social worker Jan, Whitney and Zack are on tenterhooks as they await another visit.

Soon enough they hear back from Jan and she's delighted to tell them they've been approved for the next stage of their fostering application as she believes they have much to give children in the fostering system.
