Although just founded in 2022, the bourgeoning menswear label, le PÈRE, has its eyes on the prize as it has announced the opening of its debut flagship store in New York City.
Since coming on the scene, the brand has carved a unique approach toward garment design by focusing on the creation of community/artist-involved collections as opposed to a single design lead. To date, the brand has enlisted the help of artists, designers, photographers, musicians and more like Cherry Kim, Duane Michals, Noah Dillon, Brualio Amado and Ian Woods. In essence, le PÈRE is a blank slate – a vessel, which allows its collaborators to take center stage. Whether it be a pair of workwear pants or a glittered jersey, the pieces carry reveal the allure of exalting personal narratives.
With that in mind, it only made sense that the debut flagship store mirrored this blank slate philosophy. Located at 90 Orchard Street in New York City’s Lower East Side neighborhood, the brand enlisted BoND Architecture to craft the store. Minimal, yet bold, the space features a largely white color palette, which is complimented by bursts of yellow, warm wood flooring, large windows and custom furniture pieces by BoND founders Noam Dvir and Daniel Rauchwerger. An additional highlight feature of the space is its exterior billboard, which will be used to showcase the art of its collaborators.
Take a look at the new space in the gallery above. le PÈRE’s debut flagship store is set to open its doors on Saturday, October 14.
